Pumpkins carrying messages against President Hugo Chávez
were found Monday at several locations in the capital city
of Caracas.
The pumpkins were fitted with wires to simulate an explosive
device, but included pieces of paper clarifying that the objects
were not bombs but warnings, local TV network Globovisión
reported.
Some of the pumpkins included photographs of President Hugo
Chávez, Attorney General Isaías Rodríguez,
and former Communication and Information Minister Andrés
Izarra.
The messages called upon Venezuelans to act in accordance
with article 350, Venezuelan Constitution, to disobey Chávez'
government.
